An anti-cybercrime court in Rawalpindi has sentenced a Muslim woman to death on charges of sending blasphemous material over WhatsApp.
The appointed authority conveyed the saved decision Wednesday.
The lady was condemned to a sum of 20 years under Section 295C of the Pakistan Penal Code, which relates to sacrilege. She has been fined Rs150,000 also. She was additionally condemned to 10 years under Section 295 (an intentional demonstration to affront somebody's religion), three years under Section 298-A (overly critical comments for a strict personage) and seven years under Section 11 of the Cyber Crimes Act (for imitation).
The criminal case was enlisted by the FIA Cyber Crime Wing in 2020 on May 13, on the grumbling of Muhammad Hasnat Farooq, after which she was captured.
The case was chosen by Additional District and Sessions Judge Adnan Mushtaq. The case was sought after by Raja Imran Khalil Advocate in the interest of the offended party.
As per an outline given by the Sessions court, the 26-year-elderly person was captured in May 2020 and accused of posting ungodly material on her WhatsApp status. It was accounted for that when a companion requested that she change her WhatsApp status, she sent the substance to him all things considered.
